I would like to express my deepest gratitude to cardiac surgeon Dr. V. V. Balakhonov for saving my life! He was both the assisting surgeon and my attending physician. It all began with blood pressure problems. After a heart ultrasound, I heard terrifying words: “You need surgery.” I was very scared, but the doctor was able to instill such confidence and calmness that all doubts disappeared. His calm tone, clear explanations, and sincere desire to help created an incredible sense of trust. What I liked: The operation was successful — a new valve was implanted, and an aneurysm was removed. I also want to thank the anesthesiologist, the surgeon, and the entire medical team.
